Terri DelCampo's Patreon plans - week one

How are you today, my awesome readers?

It's been an exciting week for me and I've learned a lot – about Patreon, about publishing. Patreon in different than other platforms I've published on – it combines publishing with promoting which is demanding and fun all at the same time.

Demanding in that you do all the work at once – writing, posting, and then figuring out ways to catch the eyes of readers looking for what I've got.  I know you're out there! Pick a tier and sign up! Put a little ooky on your lunch menu. Find a kid story to read to your little. Read an essay about a topic we both have opinions about.

If you don't see anything that floats your boat, drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do because Patreon is all about you and what you want to read.

So far I have thirty pieces published on Patreon, and I'm adding to them every day. I've been popping new stories/essays/poems up every day since my launch trying to get cool stuff in front of your eyeballs.

I'm already tweaking the hell out of my Patreon Plans –

I was only going to have one tier with everything on it, but I now have four – Kid's stuff ($3/month), horror stories ($3.25/month), non-fiction & poetry ($3.75/month), and a combo that has everything ($10/month).  I did that because I wanted to create a tier that would separate my children's stories from everything else. And I took into consideration that people looking for horror stories might not care about my personal essays – thus, three separate tiers and one big ol' pile of everything.

Another idea I tweaked was publishing on Fridays. I decided to expand on that.  I'm putting up stuff every day.  I planned to put a piece up from each of my niches every week – and that's still my plan, but I'm going to put one or two things up a day.

Then there is Freebie Friday when I put up a piece or two for free.

Now I need to get some attention! So check out the stuff I have up – some is for free just to give you samples of my work. Come on, everybody! Broken Old Broad writing here!

Drop me a line! Eyeball my page and subscribe – it's like watering a story tree. Come read under it!

For those of you who read this blog regularly, I'm changing its name from Pause for Thought to Broken Old Broad Blog to make it more easily found. I hope you like it!

Have a great week!

Ter
